powerdirector will not load- insert disk 1

tried to load powerdirector 8 and had trouble because the version 7 would not uninstall correctly. I am never impressed by software that will not unload correctly. I used Revo to uninstall. Then tried to load version 8 again and it stops during the loading process and asks for disk 1. The software only came with one disk. I have email customer service and had no response for several days. Can anyone help? Should I throw this away and get a different product?

ibfro,
Check out the following post. This will probably help you. If you follow Dafydd's instructions you should be fine. I have no idea what this other person did.

Try using the search option when you have a problem. Usually there will be an answer there.
Hope this helps.

Cheers!

The "search" button should be more prominent, I think many folks just don't see it. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

That is true Baryddth, maybe we can get Dafyyd to address that. It took me some time to find it as well. Saving the world, one goofy video and meme at a time.

Yes, the "search" tab and text are too small. The problem that I have is that the post I was directed to did not help. Microsoft does not offer the installer cleanup utility anymore as I understand from a Microsoft tech. I am running windows 7 64 bit. Now I am still left with software that will still not load. Customer service from Cyberlink is very very slow!
