"Originally, people used 'lol' to say that they were "laughing out loud". But now, it has just become a thing to separate sentences or put when they have nothing else to say"

"At this point, LOL is internet tradition. It's one of the first abbreviations newbies learn, and it's one that almost everyone uses, even if they don't use any other internet slang."

"it has become a space filler. "lol" adds something to the conversation that, without such a word, would otherwise seem more empty"

We all have children’s and sometime we catch they slang. The new languages we use it’s not so important than what we want to transmit in our issues. I think this theme can be discussed in languages forums and not in CL forum. We have here different cultures and different way to think and it’s the job of all of us to understand each other and solve CL related problems, no Mather the way we speak or try to express or self.

EDITED:
I forget: LOL

Now I will be the bad member again to replay this one.. Laughing out Loud, O Lot of Laughs, o Linario Ortega Linares (Wiki: http://inciclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/LOL)

Edited: I jut want to add that using LOL or similar abbreviations are the same like using the "Emoticons": they express in a simple and short way, the writer’s mood, and are only “abbreviations”
