powerdirector 365 random crashes since update

i am having constant crashes randomly since updating to the latest version of 365. If i try and split a clip, hit undo, or do any simple task, it can lock up my program, i have done a clean install 3 times of the software, and run a registry cleaner each time. I do not have hardware acceleration enabled. and my nvidia driver is up to date.

This is a bit of a guess, maybe totally wrong.

All your Windows Error Reporting at the end of your DxDiag are PDR, CDR or LightingService.exe related.

I think I'm right that Lighting Service is an ASUS RGB light controller that has been known to cause issues. A search on Google uncovers a few.

I have an ASUS MoBo but I'm sure I recall getting rid of stuff like that because I dont need the pretty lights under the desk! It certainly isn't in my Services. It might be worth investigating further?
