Cyberlink CZP breaks aspect ratio

I am trying to use C/Z/P to zoom in on a video and then pan accross it. In the CZP tool everything looks correct, but when I exit the CZP tool the resulting video aspect ratio is all wrong. I have attached two files to show what I am talking about ... "NoZoomApplied" shows the video in the proper aspect ratio. "ZoomApplied" shows what the video looks like once I did a simple "zoom in" on the video with CZP. Note that there is now black bars on both sides of the video and it looks "squished". I did not change the aspect ratio in the CZP tool, in fact I have made sure that it stays 16:9. Is this a bug or a feature? What should I do to fix this. Thanks

I don't see anything unusual. Does this happen if you use clips from a different source, like the sample clips that PD comes with? Select Preferences | Project | Automatically load sample clips... to access them if again you've previously disabled that option.

Also what happens if you disable OpenCL and/or hardware decoding from the Hardware Acceleration menu?

I have disabled hardware acceleration and rendered a full video. I have attached two new screenshots that very clearly show the issue. The first image shows the zoom setup at time code 0:14:00 ... You can see that the video is properly framed and zoomed in. The second screenshot is the rendered video where you can see that the video is actually off screen and there is a large black bar to the left hand side, even though it is not anywhere near that configuration in the zoom setup in the first screenshot.

The aspect ratio is slightly off, but that is harder to see.

I have turned off all pre-rendering and video caches, as well as all hardware acceleration.

I have tried many different configurations of pre-rendering on, off, hardware acceleration on, off, etc.

This is using the Mac version of the software and I have the latest release of software 21.2.4806.0

I need to get to the bottom of this, or I am going to have to try and find some other software to use.

Hi,

There's not a large Mac user base on the forum so folk might not be able to test. I have all Win 11 systems so I'm afraid I can't directly help.

I'd recommend raising a support ticket - link in the signature below - and see if they can offer any insight/solution.

Cheers

Maybe the other PDM can check, they state they have a Mac here:
