Hi Andrew,
Umm,
I'm downloading the beta right now to check. Please make sure you have deleted the ini files located here: C:\ProgramData\CyberLink\Downloader and then try again. Sometimes the ini files interfere with the beta/downloads.
I'll let you know if I'm successful in getting 2229.

Can't find this on my computer (Win 8.1) and still getting 2223

I usually just delete the last patch downloader and works fine - not this time! Director Suite 365

I downloaded and installed without problems here.

I submit to a particular folder, even if the file containing the previous update no problem because the file name is different.

I discard the previous update after ensuring that current this good.

Silly question, but, why can't I just do this from within PD13? (I have build 2215 also, even though I downloaded the patch: Strange, the 105MB file 'downloaded' instantly...). If I select 'Update' within PD13, it shows no available updates, even though there should be.

What gives?

Also, should I delete ALL of the .ini files in the given directory (There are 8 different ones in there, "Item0.ini" through "Item7.ini")?

I updated without any problems using the link in the first post.

What gives?

I wondered the same thing.
Maybe the software updates are not released at the same time to avoid overloading the server?

I think you'll find the update from within PD13 is for official release versions rather than betas, to be sure the populace doesn't end up with something untested. Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 Mainboard : Intel i7 2700k @ 3.6ghz: 12 gb DDR3 Kingston ram:

Success this time - I keep all the downloaded patches in one folder; which as worked fine for the last three patches, now moved the old ones into separate sub folder, new patch downloaded fine.

Strange when had worked previously without issue. Director Suite 365

Ok, it worked this time: Apparently I still had a patch file from before in the destination directory, so I deleted it and it worked. Without deleting it, the downloader would not give me the opportunity to change the save location and would not actually download anything (since it sees that I already have the file?)

Quote: Hi Jeff,
I've had a reply to your question from CyberLink.
PDR13 v2223 supports HW encode in Maxwell as well.

Let me know if you have any other questions you want answered and I'll do my best to get a response.
Dafydd

Just to follow up to your response from my inquiry from the previous beta here: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/40892.page#211197 since the old beta post is locked.

Yes, for my GTX970 NVIDIA Maxwell architecture, v2223 corrects the lack of hardware encoding interlace support with PD13. As a side note, it's also nice to see CL is finally supporting NVIDIA's newer video engine.

Assertion: The 2229 beta patch messes up fades/opacity in PiP Designer.

Simple things like using fade in/out in PiP Designer behaves haphazardly, more often than not displaying as 0% opacity for entire duration... but with repeated attempts it sometimes fades in & out as it should.

I even started thinking my poor old GPU was failing

Ditched the beta patch and re-installed 2123 - back to normal & doing what it should.

Irrelevant or not, variable opacity in PiP Designer & Title Designer afflicted pre-release builds of PDR13. I trust whatever it is doesn't get put into the next official patch!

Cheers - Tony

I am not able to install this beta patch.

I get a pop-up that says "You do not have the required version of the program installed on your system. The installation will abort. Please contact your application provider."

I most certainly do have PD13, Ultimate version, purchased last week, installed, and activated.

I also have PD9/PD11/PD12 installed and working and all up to the latest build.
PD10 is on the system as well - but not working (crash on startup, see my other thread).

I have tried reinstalling PD13 and reactivating it. But I got the same error installing the patch afterwards, still.

Check which version of PD13 you have, my guess CL updated new user purchases but don't have a patch yet for current paid customers. In which case, you do not have the required version to patch, you already would have it wrapped in the download files.

Second guess would be you have downloader files from previous patch and the downloader is trying to install a older patch of some PD version. If the downloader sees a file in the same location as used previously, it skips the download and simply tries to install the old downloaded file. Move the last downloaded file or clean out the ini files located here: C:\ProgramData\CyberLink\Downloader and then try again
