Thanks for posting this, Dafydd!

The downloader worked perfectly on my system, no need to delete old .ini files or rename previous patches

1) I do not see any UI issue if I move a Pixelan transition's control window offscreen, but I had not seen the original issue. Are there any specific transitions that this fix would apply to?

2) There does seem to be a change in what happens to the "downstream" clips when using the "Remove and Move All" option, but I would want to go back to the previous version and confirm what I think I remember. Did Cyberlink provide any information on what "incorrectly" means?

3) I have not encountered the problem before and cannot test the fix

4) Same as above, but I can test if this issue is documented somewhere

For the long-running issues, there is no change in the long delay for the UI window to appear on Haswell + GTX7xx systems. However, the A/V split fix is still intact

As stated above, the downloader works great now without having to delete the ini files. Thank you.
Still no fix with the opening of my pixelan plugin, same delay as before. My system doesn't have a Haswell cpu but I do use a GTX 770, can't see how that's a problem.
Keep trying guys, much appreciated.

That's odd. I've had something like that happen when the downloader pulls down the previous patch and I don't pay attention when I install it.

The latest patch should show up as "PowerDirector_2824_GM6_Patch_Patch_VDE140407-01.exe" If you right-click on the file in Windows Explorer and choose Properties, the Size should read 216 MB (227,403,560 bytes).

If you accidentally got the 2816 patch, obviously the name should give it away, but the file size is different also: 216 MB (226,690,776 bytes).

If you have the correct patch, maybe it's an Administrator-level issue that prevented it from being installed correctly. Did you try running the patch as an Administrator? Believe it or not, if that didn't work, then try running the patch WITHOUT Administrator privileges, then accept the UAC prompt when Windows requires permission to continue.

Well, Neil, I think Cyberlink is really trying to test our patience and troubleshooting skills

What if you install the 2726 patch, verify that PD is at that version, then install the 2826 Beta patch. That way, the pesky 2816 patch won't be in play...

If anybody else is having the same problem as Neil/CubbyHouseFilms, where applying the 2824 patch didn't update the program, you can PM me for the solution that worked for Neil
