NVIDIA Graphics - Problems with Intermittent/Partial Black Screen

Hi All
I am a recent convert to PD12 and enjoying the experience.

My PC seems to perform well in all respects including rendering etc. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX570 graphics.

Since I installed PD12 (I think) I occasionally get a situation where part of the screen (not all) goes temporarily black. As I run my mouse/pointer over the screen the black disappears and the programme re-appears. The black areas seem to relate to distinct areas with the PD12 software, i.e. the side bar or menu or indeed individual tracks. However, this not only happens in PD12 it can happen in my web browser too.

At present this only happens infrequently and as I say the screen soon appears when i run the mouse over the black areas.

However wondering what the cause is and whether there's anything within the PD12 software that may be causing this?

Thanks
Phil

For PD blank screen see this link: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/30321.page

Fix / workaround is basically minimize your window using the top right minus sign and maximizing PD again to reopen it.

For your web browser etc. have you upgraded to the latest Nvidia graphics driver? as well as the latest official PD v2420 update / patch ?

Thanks Rob
Sorry I didn't realise this was a current issue. I do read back through the forum but must have missed this one.

I downloaded my original software 31/12/13

I have not updated nvidia drivers (as far as I know) since having he pc about 2 years now but when I press the update button the nothing happens and I've never been notified of any updates so presume it is so.

Thanks
Phil

Phil

No worries,

Grab your latest Nvidia driver from here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers
Select the one that matches your card. Sometimes the built in update feature on computers don't always update.

Also f you haven't already done so, currently the latest PD 12 v2420 here: http://www.cyberlink.com/support/powerdirector-ultra/patches_en_CA.html
