DVD music not going 99 seconds on disc menu pages (except for root)

Hi all,

I've been editing the background music on the 'create disc' page. In the playback mode option you can set the music to loop 22-99 seconds I think. I set it to 99 and the main dvd menu works great, as 99 seconds of the song plays. However when you go into any of the subsequent pages it only goes the default 30 seconds or so until the music loops. Tried to figure this out but can't seem to get it.

Hi,
You have to set the duration for each in disc menu Root Menu, Chapter/titles menu and any subsequent menu's.

I assumed that but can't quite figure out how to do that.
When I'm on the general create disc screen, the bottom left says "1/2", as I am editing the 1st of the 2 chapter pages. It sasy "root" in this box when I'm on the main menu screen. While on the screen above (the 1/2 screen) I go into playback mode option and it says 99 seconds there. This I thought meant that the first and all chapter pages would loop 99 seconds but it doesn't. I must be missing a step.

Sorry I'm new to PowerDirector and used to Adobe. This is so much better btw :-)

Hi,
You may have to go to the 'Content' tab and navigate to various clips to get to that 'Chapter menu' and adjust the duration that way.

This was discussed here http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/24550.page but (right now) I can't confirm how much of that applies to PD11. I suspect not much has changed, according to what you've found.

thanks I read that link and it seems to suggest that only the root menu is configurable to up to 99 seconds, looks like this feature to change the lenght of songs on subsequent pages doesnt exist it
