SOLVED: Return to Menu

I have a selection of clips that are each a separate chapter and a menu that allows you to jump to any of these clips. I have selected the playback mode to be "Play the selected title only", as that suggested it was the way to return to the menu after each clip was played. I am now doubting my understanding of this option as the preview shows that the disc plays through all of the clips and does not return to the menu after each one.

I am using PowerDirector 10.0.0.1129b

Cheers

You are confusing chapters with titles for CL terminology. The menu option setting you refer to controls what happens after a "Title" is played, not a chapter. Chapters are always played consecutively. "Titles" are created by importing more than 1 pds project into the "Create Disc" module.

You can do what you want, play a selected scene and return to the main menu by having each scene a seperate pds project, not simply chapters in a one project.

These posts and referenced content within give you some details

That's perfect! Exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much for those links - they were very useful. The fact that already had the clips as separate AVI files also made it very easy. You can both import additional videos and import projects.

The one thing that has escaped me is how to set the thumbnail for the title - I know how to set it for a chapter, but setting it for the chapter in a title does not set it for the title.

I will keep looking, expect my new-ness to this software is hindering me somewhat, but any pointers are most welcome.

EDIT: Found it! - you must play the title and then in the control panel (pause, play etc) there is a button for setting the title thumbnal.

Thanks again
Cheers
