Thank you Cranston, 5D and 5DmkII are likely to be the same if later/newer models. I have grabbed the footage and welcome the addition.

Update: The testing is going well and there is inter-compatibility but some results have made me smile.

For example: Creating a Custom GoPro Profile for its HD MOV files gave the GoPro SVRT but when a ContourHD MOV file was added to the mix, the ContourHD claimed the GoPro Profile and there was no SVRT for the GoPro HD in the same track. Like I said, it made me smile.

Hi jmone,

I think I'm ok with the samples I have for your Panasonic. Thank you for the offer.

I am in need of sample from the Panasonic HDC-TM900 at 59.94 fps.

Hi Members,
A quick update.
Panasonic Europe will be providing sample files in PAL zone format for all their latest cameras.

I'm looking for footage still.

Hi,
Here is footage taken inside with a JVC GZ-HM670 Hi-def camcorder.
This camerea has good low light capabilities.

Hi Members,
I thought after writing the information to Neil I should post the following "story" on the forum.

One to make you smile. During the SVRT testing none of the i4's had SVRT available to them BUT when I put an obscure HD file from a camera called a "Jazz hdv178" into the same track, all the iPhone4 files displayed ok for SVRT with a Custom Profile option. Here's another "but" moment, the "Jazz hdv178's" video didn't have SVRT at all but just caused the Custom profile to show. Deleting the "Jazz hdv178" and the SVRT option disappeared.

I took images of the issue and I sent the findings on the iPhones to CyberLink. I also noted the SVRT Custom templates offered (in red) were reading the displaying data at 30fps and not 29.97fps which what the iPhones MediaInfo showed.

Please see the attached images - made me smile, as it's a bit weird.

Update: I'm waiting for Panasonic sample files to arrive from Panasonic Europe.

Inter-compatibility: the testing has slowed, the task is still interesting and throwing up some excellent results.

Good Morning or as in my country, Bore da,

Please view the attached image. In it are a combination of video files. I'm testing 6 Sony cameras (in the image) and lining up source footage from other cameras, makes and models with differing frame sizes and rates. In this ongoing test there's inter-compatibility between models (when brought in) and makes. Flicking through the SVRT Profiles results in different compatibilities showing.

Just sharing.

Having video from the latest models is important. If you have a new HD/3D camera or a HD camera not listed at the beginning of the thread then please add a sample.

Thanks

Dafydd

Thanks Rob, I'm downloading your mov file.

Update: Testing has slowed as I waited for Panasonic to provide data, finally arriving recently but was not as I expected! For the most part the SVRT Compatibility results have been an eye-opener and one many may appreciate. To say the least the actual testing is laborious and quite boring to do

I was "testing last night" on one Sony camera which has 5 sample files, different frame rates and bit rates. The results were the interlaced and progressive files of the first 4 would output as SVRT in the 50i range and for 2 of these in a lower bitrate for 50i as well. While only one progressive 50p file would output as 50p SVRT. Basically one camera produced 7 test results. On those then a further SVRT compatibility test with other cameras took place. This resulted in about 8 cameras being compatible and they were not all Sony!

Not all are like that

Eye-opener, yes indeed, for me it will be when SVRT functions as CL had advertised and sold.

Many users have shown many issues over many years, same camera, different camera, same footage, different footage, split footage, transitions, no transitions, audio blips, video blips, the possible pot holes are many. When it functions as it was advertised, yes indeed it will be a real eye-opener.

Hi Rrrr,
Thank you for the video clip. I will add it to the test.

Hi jeff,
Thank you for your comments. You will recall (with PD9) providing some 23 mts video files from your Canon camera. I have been playing with these files in both PD9 and 10. I note that in PD9 these files have full use of SVRT now when previously they did not. The Canon camera you have produced a variable bitrate file that was beyond PD9's SVRT range. I see that has been corrected in a patch, so all the 23 files now benefit from SVRT. Other than a degree of "hosepiping" in the sample files (not a problem but I've watched the videos a lot), the SVRT functioned the same in both PD10 and PD9 with and without a transition being added to the project. I then attempted to replicate the mts set up with video files from an mp4 camera. Whereas your Canon recorded 60i the mp4 were 60p. The SVRT functioned the same in both with slight header delays during the SVRT operation at the start of each clip in the track. The inclusion of a transition did not have any affect on the rest of the clips in the simple test I carried out. I was unable to repeat the test in PD9 for the mp4 files as these files could not use SVRT or in previous builds of PD, prior to 10. During testing I note the hanging display when attempting to view the video after production in Produce. Because it was not the finished file but the data in the tracks and was limited by the graphics card's capability. The final finished file when viewed from the media library in full screen display played without a problem in all cases on my system.

My testing/this thread is about the inter compatibility of SVRT with other cameras with make and models being tested. A fair degree of boredom is involved.

NOT all camera files have the SVRT capability available to them and the tests I'm carrying out will show that as well.

Please Jeff, if you have issues with using SVRT then raise them on another thread as a new topic.

Thank you.

Dafydd
