this is my second time i submitted this. my first has not appear yet. hopefully this one will. after working on twenty two clips (they are music videos), editing the video and sound i notice that when i click on some of the clips that the buttons, which were there at one time, disappear. after trying several things i discover that the clips i have edit the sound in soundwave portion of the program were the ones that the buttons no longer appeared. if i remove the clip (losing all the work i did on it), and put the original back on, the buttons would again reappear. this is telling me that i had better do all my video changes and adding transitions and do the sound portion last because i will not have those buttons after editing the sound. what i would like to know is this a problem with the problem? can anyone tell me if i an doing something wrong? i just got this program a week ago.

Hi duanev,

Right click on a clip where you’ve noticed that the buttons have disappeared, and choose Unlink Objects in the drop down menu. This will separate the audio from the video clip.
Then click on an empty space in the timeline (to clear the cursor), and then click on the top video portion of the clip, so it is highlighted. The buttons above the timelines will now be available again.
