Please create the following file and attach it as a response.

Create a Diagnostic File
Go to > Start
Select > Run
Type in > Dxdiag
Click > OK
Select > save the information
save as ****DxDiag.txt
Replace the **** with your name so the file can be identified easily.
Example: johnsmithDxDiag.txt
A diagnostic file is used by PowerDirector Technical Support to analyze your PC set up. Win8 64-bit Pro Retail
Intel i7-4770
16GB DDR3 1600 8-8-8-24
MSI Z87-G45 Motherboard
ASUS GTX 660 Direct CU II OC 2GB GPU
1 TB RAID 1 (mirrored) Drive Array
Several scratch drives for video, TMP, pagefile.

Hi,

You need to update your Nvidia video card drivers, first. Looks like are more than year out of date.

I'd do that first and try it again.

That's funny. This isn't tech-support, just a user group of people like yourself who use the PowerDirector software. We try to help people, though.

It depends who is around at the time to help you and what the problem turns out to be. Win8 64-bit Pro Retail

Gerald -

OnTheWeb just has that Tech Support Air about him, so you could be excused for thinking that.

It might be worth putting http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us in your favourites.

Cheers - Tony

Hi Gerald,

Ok, you've given some useful information however you'll need to provide more.

An image tells a story - please attach screenshots of less than 100kb size of the User interface and the error message.

Please see Newbie instructions here. http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/7979.page
and
http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/7979.page#34439

You appear to confuse RAM (temporary memory) with storage space (Hard Disc Drives) - try and make sure you know the differences, I'm sure you do. You'll see many posts here where
1. the capability of memory on a graphics card is looked at,
2. where the temporary memory is reported and/or members are guided to increase it.
3. where ram is "filled up" by editing extensively Hi-Definition (HD) video.
4. You'll see instructions to Save > close PD > re-open PD just to clear temporary memory.

We need to know what media files you have in the time lines - an image helps us no end.

Please ensure you have applied the update patch.
