Claim of corrupted video
[Post New]
Why does Power Director 365 refuse to load an MP4 video saying it is corrupted when I can preview the video outside of PD365 just fine?

I preview the video it shows up just fine, try to import it into PD365 and it is claimed to be corrupted. Then when I try to preview it again it won't play.

Is it possible that for some unknown reason Power Director corrupts the MP4 video?

A corrupted file will play on many players but cannot be edited on a video editor. There are tools available on the internet that you can use to fix them. Some are free like VLC and HandBrake.

HandBrake is a tool. See this post on others using it: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/20/42116.page#217950 . It is very easy to use and figure out.

Hello,

As tomasc mentioned, Handbrake is a free tool that let's you convert videos to other formats/quality etc. For your case, you can use it to re-render the file in the same format, with the extact same resolution and bitrate. This usually fixes any errors.

You can find it here: https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php
