Hi I am finding this latest version keeps crashing as soon as I try and import files. I get the blue wheel of doom , waiting for the program to respond doesn't work so no option but to close. It has nothing to do with my windows 10 laptop as very good gaming one and only about 18 months old. How do I fix this? One thing I have noticed is no update in application manager for a while. Normally it's a weekly occurence.

Chances are that you have a video driver issue or there are problems with Window core files. It's also possible that something went wrong with PD.

Step 1, find the latest video driver for your system. You haven't provided any details here but the DxDiag test results as detailed in the Read Me Before Posting guide will provide the answers.

If you go to the Intel, nVidia or AMD support website you can find and download the most recent driver for your system. If you have an nVidia GPU, please follow the instructions here for a clean installation. Do not install any gaming components until you've completely resolved the crashes with PD!

Step 2, run the two commands as shown in step 1 of the post I linked to above. You may need to run them more than once if any errors remain.

Step 3, uninstall PD and then reboot and reinstall it.

Running through these steps in the order I wrote them will give the highest chances of success. Please post back with your results so other people can see what worked or didn't work for you.
