Hi all,

Whenever I use this function, it doesn't seem to do anything.

And there doesn't seem to be a way to easily remove any empty track actually.

But I might be missing something!

Does anyone know how to remove tracks from the timeline that you don't want any more?

I seem to have ended up with 17 tracks, and it's getting very confusing!

Thanks for any advice.

Hi,

Tracks 1-3 are permanent. All other tracks are removeable, as far as I am aware.

Cursor on the track management column, rt click >remove empty tracks should remove all empty tracks. If it doesn't, then the first thing to check is whether any sliver of content, even 1 frame, is left on the track somewhere.

Cursor on the track management column, rt click >remove selected track should remove the selected track, complete with contents, unless it is one of the 3 permanent tracks.

If neither of those functions work then we are looking at something that requires more detail.

Cheers

Thank you so much - yes, all the functionality is very good normally so as I suspected, it was my fault - I had some of the tracks in question locked, and I didn't realise it. So it wouldn't remove them. Now that I've unlocked the unwanted tracks, it's all working fine!

SO FOLKS, IF YOU CAN'T REMOVE AN EMPTY TRACK, CHECK WHETHER THE PADLOCK ICON IS SET OPEN OR CLOSED!

Cheers.
