It sounds like something went wrong with the installation. You say you have PD20 (not the subscription version, PD365), so try uninstalling it using the Windows uninstaller tool and when you reinstall it, right click on the installer .exe and choose Run as Administrator.

OK, thanks. But, do I have to uninstall ALL the other templates, or just the PowerDirector 20 2.8 GB program?

Not at all, which was why I said to uninstall PD20 and didn't say anything about the content packs👍

Did you receive a response to your error?

I have installed/uninstalled PowerDirector 19 two times and it still says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b. Click OK to close the application.

I see many posts from 2012 about this same error.
