I am lossing sound at the start of a new clip

I have done a presentation video and cut it in a number of places. When I play back the video I lose sound for a short time at the start of every new clip.

I have checked the audio track under the timeline and it all looks OK with sounds bars etc in place. I have also tried finalising the video to see if it was just a clitch, but the final produced version still has the sound gaps at every new cut.

Any ideas

Can you give us a bit more to work with, like:
what kind of format clips are they? (they or their sound track may be incompatible with PD), and also
what is the software you use to watch them? (maybe it is not the clip but the viewing software), and
what is the format for the output clips you have used?
how long does it take before the sound starts/returns?
and maybe you can share an example?

  • I used .mov media files to upload onto Power project,

  • Im just using Power Project 365 to edit and watch.

  • The sound goes at the satrt of each clip for 1 or 2 seconds.

  • I have attached an example

Thanks for the screen recording. Please see this FAQ for several ways to improve PD's preview performance.

Cybernewbee247, since your OP indicated this issue also occurs in your final produced version too, taking action to improve PD's timeline preview performance will have no end benefit.

My guess, your MOV clips are from a phone that may have highly variable bitrate and framerate since capturing and nearly static item. I'd try converting your MOV clips with like HandBrake to a constant fps and a bitrate consistent of your end produce goal and try that file in PD for editing and see if you get along any better.
