Hello.

I have an issue with PowerDirector 19...

Today i tried to sync my video (.avi) file with my audio (.wav) file (recorded with audacity) and when i click Synk the Audio, the audio starts AFTER the video ends and the video was filmed and recorded in the same time that the audio was recorded. i recorded the audio with a fifine microphone

this is very frustrating to me because i have HOURS looking on the net and didnt see nothing like this..

Like i said, the audio starts when the video ends

thanks a lot.

All that means is that PD couldn't sync the two clips for some reason.

One way to get a better result is to shorten both clips so they're just a few seconds long. Make sure you have the same section of audio in each clip, like where the waveform gets big under the 2nd thumbnail at around the 15 second mark.

It also looks like both the audio tracks show a lot of clipping (the yellow bits at the top and bottom). This might mean that the audio is too loud and give PD a hard time finding similarities.
My suggestion would be to turn down the volume of both tracks a bit so that there is less clipping. You can do this manually per track, or you might also try to let PD do this for you by temporarily putting the two clips behind each other in one and the same track and normalize the audio. When there is less clipping to show, put them under each other and redo the sync audio. Cutting off the bits at the start and the end of the video-clip as Optodata suggests, will give PD an extra hint where to look for synchronization.

Hello buddy. thanks a lot for the answer. yes i have the same section audio in each clip. as the matter of fact is just the same.

The only difference is the first one which contains the video i turned on first because the audio file was taken from the fifine microphone.

I dont know if this is relevant but my video camera is OLD. its a FUJIFILM 12 MP with a maximum video quality of 1280P, i dont know if this matters or not.
