I was looking forward to buying PD19 lifetime license this year, but it looks like you guys jumped the bandwagon of this dreadful subscription based model.

When you want to use PD19 for the rest of your life, than buying a lifetime license is the better option. When you want to use always the latest and uptodate PD, than the subscription model is the better option.
I jumped this year to the subscription model (after three lifetime models which I don't use anymore) and I'm glad I did. Recware: DJI Osmo Pocket, GoproHero7Black, PanasonicFZ300/HCX909, Sony PXW-X160.
Software: Vegaspro365+Vegasaur/PowerDirector365
Hardware: i910900k,32GB,GTX2080s, 1920x1200 display
Playware: Samsung Qled QE65Q6FN, Philips 55PFL7108

There are cases when subscription model works better. Usually that's in commercial use (for financial and support reasons), but lately it started to creep into amator usage too.
I am still using the one-time payment (lifetime) version, but I see both sides of the argument as valid.

Lifetime upgrade is $90. Annual license is, with current sale, $49. The cut-even usage duration is minimum 23 months. If upgrade evey 2 years I save a bit of money, buut if I upgrade yearly, I lose. Plus I can't use all the plug-ins with my forever license.

Hello,

You really should send your complaint to CyberLink via Customer Service. Posting it here is fruitless, since they do not monitor this user led forum as it explains at the top of the forum.
