I bought PD9 way back and LOVE Power Director to bits but want to start editing on Android AND my Laptop but I'm confused as to what package is the cheapest and best ? I NEED PD18 for Windows but need an editor for my Samsung phone and tablet so both Action Director AND Power Director ANDROID look very cool but which way do I buy these ? I don't have a large commercial YouTube channel but have an average size YouTube channel for fun and money is of the essence having just shelled out NZ $600 for PreSonus Studio One Professional. Please advise which app and package I need, please ? And much gratitude

Is there a reason you've underlined your entire post? I'm not sure what you're indicating.

That said, if you're editing on a phone and posting to YouTube, I wouldn't spend hundreds of dollars on an editor. How extensive is the editing you're doing? Are you working with lots of composited layer effects and mixing several audio sources? Doing Chroma Key effects and editing animations?

Seriously, which editor you use depends on how extensive your editing is. If you're just cutting and mixing video and post it to YouTube, you don't know a lot of sophistication.

There is a PowerDirector Mobile section of the forum. Posting threads like this one in that section would help other users with similar questions find answers quicker.

I found the following prices on the Google Play store.

  • ActionDirector - In App purchases $1.99 - $24.99 per item

  • PowerDirector - In App purchases $0.99 - $39.99 per item

The high end of the in app purchases are usually the price to sign up for a 3 month subscription. You should check with CyberLink to be certain.

Your needs are dependent upon what type of videos you make. IMHO ActionDirector is more suited to recording and editing short videos and applying slow motion for action or sports videos. PowerDirector Mobile is more suited to editing any length video and provide access to more features than ActionDirector. In the end it really depends on what your needs are and how much you are willing to spend. Subscribe to PowerDirector University on YouTube.

Hello and thank you. The reason I posted here is because I need the android edition AND the Windows PD18 but wondered if it would be cheaper to buy PD18 outright with a lifetime license and then subscribe to the android editor OR get them both in a package. I've just come to bed, I'll check back in the morning, thank you, Kindest, Stephanie

To the poster above, I wasn't aware iv was underlining all my text, there's no need to be pushy to show me up, I am over 60 and on oxy pain medications for post cancer op complications. Nothing has changed here in 10 years and I'm a bit long in the tooth to be spoken down to. I have a day job and this is my 1st post in years but I can see it was a bad mistake. Enjoy your day, Kindest, Stephanie

I am not aware of any package deal for PD18 and the Mobile app for Android. To my knowledge they must be purchased separately.

If you are going to upgrade every year the 365 subscription might be a beter option for you as it comes with additional features that the lifetime license doesn't have. If you will not buy the new version each year and don't need all the extras then the lifetime license will be less expensive. Subscribe to PowerDirector University on YouTube.
