First of all let me say I am very greatful for the audio level meters that are now in the preview window.

My question for anyone:

In the preview Window Audio meters in PD 18 and 365...what are the actual db levels? If you are at the green to yellow what is that in decibels and yellow to Red?

Also could the actual db levels be added in an update?

Thank you very much! Trey

Kind of like this for basic 2 channel stereo, left to right in pic
-3dB, entirely green
-2dB, transition from green to yellow
-1dB, transition from yellow to red
0dB, no transition, fully red

I'm unsure why they are like that. They don't mimic the level meters CL used in AudioDirector which are annotated with a dB scale and entirely different color band transitions, other than red for 0dB of course. Appears in PD they are simply more of a clipping notice, nothing more.

Why all the inconsistencies between linked modules, not sure, probably different students coding different sections with inadequate program management leadership.

Please... no color coding... I see no green and no enough red so when you mix red/green/yellow, it is not clear ...

thnx!!
