I am trying to save my old videos by creating digital copies. There are numerous times the video will stop and the notice will pop up that it is a copyright issue. I am copying off my old 8mm. Yes, at this point they are probably not the best quality. Is there a way to keep this from popping up?

This is a common problem in PowerDirector, if there is noise in the video, Powerdiredtor detects that as copyright.

If you use other capture software, you can import the captures for editing in Powersirector. You may have to search for capture software.

Microsoft has/had "Windows movie maker" Search without quotes.

Windows has not has this program since 2012

I guess I should have research more thoroughly before I purchased this product. I bought it solely for the purpose of saving my old tapes and have lost a lot of time trying to make it work. I don't want to make it pretty, just save them before the quality degrades.

Yes, Microsoft did discontinue Windows Move Maker, but if you use the key words Windows Movie Maker, in the search engine "Google.com", you get several choices of programs that have replaced Windows Movie Maker that does the same job.

That is not the only progam that can capture video tape or 8 mm film without the copyright error.
