PD 17 Multicam error, black screens
[Post New]
Hi everyone
Since I use PD whenever I am waiting for a Windows 10 upgrade, I wonder what surprises will be this time. So after updating to Windows 1903, the problem is in multicam. I have already updated the nvidia driver to the latest version 430.86, enable and disable OpenCL, nothing changes, I'm going crazy soon ...any advice?

UPDATE: With 3 cameras Multicam working fine, with 4 - black screens

The first 3 thumbnails are blank in your Error3 pic because there is only a single clip at your cursor's location!

It looks like you've already synced by audio, so for this section, the only clip you can use is from Camera 4.

somrozen, the issue is obvious in your attached pic. I've had that issue prior to 1903 too. I’ve not noticed it any worse with the windows update. It is much worse with high quality source, four 4K files nearly always creates the problem periodically while Multcam editing. What I've found if I want to use Multicam with four high quality source it behaviors better when one generates the shadowfiles from within Multicam. Playback and all are much more fluent if significant Multicam editing is needed.

I typically don't use shadowfiles for any timeline editing and using them in Multicam presents a little bit of an issue as they will be used in the timeline too regardless how one has the pref > General setting. You need to manually delete them after you finish Multicam editing.

The OpenCL setting in pref probably has little impact but the hardware decoding setting will have significant effect depending on source clip specifics and specific GPU.

thanks JL_JL for the answer, did you report this problem to support?

UPDATE 2: Problem occurs randomly, after a long work in the program I noticed that multicam works well

I put this screen to prove that the file is "recognizable" by the PD17
