Hello

I removed some parts of a scene by using split and delete. Now I want to merge these two clips together.
I found an article that says use CTRL and click on both clips which I did and then right click on any to click on combine.
The combine is not available.

I found a second forum post from 2008 in which someone writes that this is not possible. I have to produce those two clips and then import them back in...

The second post is correct. The combine only works if you split, don't remove anything, then you can combine across the common split. There is no real need to combine or produce to combine into one clip if it's just content in your timeline.

Watch in "Movie" mode vs "Clip" mode, icons below preview window or set in pref > Editing.

In movie mode it doesnt stop automatically at the end of the clip. It continues and then I have to pause and go back.
It's a detail but still..

Then use the orange range markers on the side of the scrubber to set the playback range of interest. "Movie" mode will then play the range and return to the beginning of the range.
