I have a problem with a live music video. People walked in front and I need to blur their faces. I have used motion detector and blur. It is hard to get it to cover the areas I have highlighted with the blue box, after ok they seem to travel as they wish.
Here is my biggest problem. After a few blurs I can then no longer add any more tracks. A message appears that I have 7 the max allowed. What is the work around? And any help with aligning would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure if this will work but could you not produce the video and then load it back and do it again PowerDirector Tutorials Team

That's a good suggestion, and you should use the Profile Analyzer on the Produce page to get the best quality every time you (re)produce that clip:

As for your other issue of the tracker not always doing a good job, take a look at the guide, especially the last step. Even though that example is for the 360 degree designer, it's the same process with regular clips. You can also try expanding the mask effect's area a bit so the tracking doesn't have to be perfect.

Just make sure you're happy with all the trackers before producing it each time!

Thanks tried that did not work. I have a idea but do not want to waste time (many irons in fire). Please if it works letme know. I thought I could cut the video into sections and then make a new video of the cut pieces once done. One BIG question is because it is a concert will it effect the sound and movement? Will it correct it so that it is not noticeable if I use the sound transition and a same pic as the next pated video cutpic as the transition? Lot of work but IF it will work worth the effort. Please advise - PEACED Jon

Sorry that you're frustrated, but it seems like you may not quite understand what we've recommended because it certainly does work and it's probably the best solution for what you want.

One of the biggest challenges with dealing with technical subjects on a forum is that two or more people may have vastly different knowledge and experiences, and what's perfectly clear to one or more persons is either unclear or even contradictory to someone else.

You certainly can cut the video into sections (I assume that you mean by length/duration, not into quarters or thirds in area, but that can be done as well) and there shouldn't be any problems with the audio or continuity when producing the sections, as long as they stay lined up.

In your clip, if there are say, 4 or 5 people that walk across in a few seconds, it would certainly make sense to cut the main clip before and after that period and add the motion trackers just for them.

However, there's a very frustrating issue with how PD17 creates the motion trackers, and to not get caught up in it you actually should use the Produce Range feature and convert that motion-tracked clip into a fully produce clip, then put that on the timeline to replace the original clip, and repeat as necessary.

I don't know what your footage looks like, so I can't say whether adding a stationary (and easier to work with) blurred area might be helpful, rather than tracking every single person. Please post back if anything I've said or recommended is confusing and I'll try to explain it more clearly or use a different example.
