Hi!

Having some issues with motion effects on still images. When I load the image I want to work on, I get a full representation of the image int he preview window. As soon as I select any of the pan, zoom, corner to corner motions, the image crops in to a random location and then starts the movement. Why cant I start out witht he full image before any actions are taken? If this is an automatic process, it should start witht he entire image visible before panning/ zooming etc.

Thanks, Dave

Each transition has a default starting point (they're actually not random), but often it's not where you might want to start. Same with the endpoint, so you'll need to manually adjust each keyframe. This does require some effort on your part, but you will end up with exactly the look you want.

Here's a quick tutorial showing how that's done.

OK, one more....I have the "TV safe zone" broken line box on the image. 1. what is that? 2. if its the outline for my 16x9 TV set, shouldnt it cover the whole image as the .jpeg is 1080x1920 which is 16x9 already? That broken box should be covering the whole image right? Thx

No. That's a guide for keeping titles and important parts of your videos inside an area that all TVs (NOT computer monitors/screens) will show. It has nothing to do with the actual content, and if your audience isn't using old style TVs, you can completely ignore it.

See this Wikipedia article for a detailed explanation.
