Just a few days before releasing PD17, you should have warned me.
This will certainly make me never upgrade again, this is outright theft.
This is a serious loss of credibility (and imago) for this company.
Yes i am angry

If having the latest version is important to you, then you should do one of two things: switch to Linux where the software is free and upgrading is taken care of for you by Linux or take out a subscription to PD 365 where the upgrades are taken care of for you by Cyberlink. I know what you mean

You may wish to contact Customer Service and ask for an upgrade. You might also request a refund and then buy the newest version if within the return period. Cyberlink is pretty good with those things. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

Same problem here. I contacted CyberLink about the issue and got an answer of, and I'll paraphrase here "Tough $**t". I guess I paid for an upgrade to an obsolete software. Very poor customer care if you ask me. Cyberlink should provide the latest software to people who upgraded recently. I just paid $99.00 and now it will cost me more money to upgrade just a couple of weeks later, this is a joke.

Cyberlink offers me 50 % discount on an upgrade from PD16 to PD17
Appreciated and i will consider that. Probably not as it will cost me again.

After being nagged to upgrade 15 to16 for many months i finally did so.
Wished i had not given in to that.
