After I installed Cyberlink Power 15 my PC would no longer boot. I couldn't even start in safe mode. I tried everything I could find to recreate the boot mgr but nothing worked. It completely made my PC unbootable. I had to reinstall windows 10 pro I purchased my copy off steam ages ago so no I didn't pirate it. I can proved all the proof you want. I downloaded the software straight from steam and the patch from Cyberlink's website. Another user on the steam community forums reports this happening. Is there a fix as I would like to watch Blue Rays again on my PC or is 15 not support and I am basically forced to buy something else?

I've never heard PowerDVD installation would touch Boot Manager settings.
You said you have purchaed PowerDVD ages ago. Did it happen before?
If you already "Recreated" boot manager then boot function is still not OK. There might be other causes that lead to the booting problem. Check your PC HDD or Windows with your IT service first.

By the way, the patches that locates on cyberlink website is not supported to update Steam version.

The boot manager was never able to be recreated. The patch was the only way to make it function. I haven't had this software on my system for over a year since I formatted awhile ago and never reinstalled.
