I am attempting to import video into powerdirector 15. The video have been downloaded to my pc from my camcorder. When I select the video clips to import, it is really slow and if I right click on the video clip being imported, it says "Shadow file: being generated. Each clip has a small yellow "video" icon in the corner, which eventually turns to green when the clip is "ready". What the heck is all this and how do I speed things up?

You can turn off the shadow files in preferences BUT they may be necessary if you computer is underpowered for the program and you are working with hiigh definition video files.

Please post you computer specification using dxdiag.exe text file. It will tell us about your computer but will not disclose any personal information (except what you call your computer).

About the fourth one down in this thread.

Sorry the forum is not working right for me just now.
