PD8 DVD Creation

Hi All,

I'm a current PD7 owner, however have found it DVD creation features to be sadly lacking.

I was wondering if PD8 offered any new functions, the two areas I have found frustration is the limitation of only 3 menu items per page (before having to move to change to next page) and the inability to play a slide show and return to the top menu.

I have to create a DVD for the daycare, which ideally would be just a basic introductory page and then a number (upto 16) buttons / names of each child leading into a slide show with music.... returning to the top at finish of slide show.

Appreciate any feedback if this may be possible now in PD8 (I have my fingers crossed)...

Gareth,

PD7 had a limitation of 6 chapters per page. You probably only had 3 because of the template you used as a starting point only had 3. You can add up to 6 with the menu designer, add button feature. PD8 supports 14 chapters per page, the 15th would roll over to the next chapter page.

Thanks for the information, I may have been thinking of the wrong template when I said 3 (I wasn't infront of my PC) I do remember 6. Its great to know that PD8 supports up to 14 chapters per page.

Could I ask in regards to a "chapter" could this be a slideshow which returns to the top menu or is it like a movie in that you can select the point you wish to start from?

Sounds like PD8 is well on the way to what I'm hoping for just like you comments on this last point - if I can do the slideshow return to top menu I'll be purchasing asap.
