Arrow keys won't get me the settings menu to alter playback options. How do you turn subtitles on with the arrow keys on your keyboard? It needs a functioning mouse. Actually the mouse works fine it's just the pointer that is invisible. All drivers are up to date. This only happens with hdr, normal blurays play fine. I've raised a ticket.
OK, I figured out a fix of sorts for myself in case anyone else has this problem. Edit the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System. Value Name: EnableCursorSuppression. Type: REG_DWORD
Change the value from "1" enablemousecursorsuppression to "0". This fixes the issue in Powerdvd but of course, may have undesirable side effects in other apps. In my case I have a dedicated Cinema setup so the only function of that PC is to drive my projector. Mouse pointer now works as expected in Powerdvd when playing HDR content.
This works until (if) Cyberlink come up with a more targeted fix.
