Starting project with PD 17

I just upgraded to PD 17 from PD 13. I got an icon on my desktop but when I clicked it I got "PC Mode" and TV Mode. My question is how do I get to program area where I start a building a new movie/DVD? In PD 13 when I clicked on the desktop icon it took me to my previous project but I'm not able to do that yet with PD 17. Can someone help?

Hello,

It sounds like you are opening PowerDVD 17, which does not allow you to edit movies and create DVDs. It is only for media playback.

Are you saying you upgraded from PowerDirector 13 to PowerDVD 17?

Yes, I thought I was upgrading to Power Director 17 but now realize I purchased the wrong product (feeling kind of dumb too). Thanks for answering my question, it will help me get to the right place!
