Edit Produced Project

Hello,

I produced a couple of projects a few years ago in PD10 and would like to be able to edit them, using PD16 now. I dropped the completed project, (Movie) into the timeline but cannot figure out how to divide and edit the project. I am trying to avoid having to re-insert and edit the original un-produced project as the links to the files in the project are dead and trying to recover all the dozens of individual files would be very, very, very time comsuming if even possible. The thing is all I want to do is replace a couple pictures that are outdated and then re-produce and burn it.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you need any additional information please let me know.

Thanks for your time all.

I think you can not use the old complete project
Maybe some effects or text can be harnessed
1 - New project add the video produced.
If you want to keep the full audio in the timeline, right click on the video and select Link / Unlink Video and Audio
Lock the audio track.
Edit the video track, use the Split button at the beginning and end of the part to replace, select the part, Delete, select Remove and Leave Gap.
2 - New Project taking advantage of the effects of the old project
Open the old project, Save As, name for security, delete what you will not use, leave others around in the timeline.
Add the old video follows as in topic1, drag the effect to where you want to use it. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
SSD SUV400S37240G / 2-HD WD 1TB
AMD Radeon R9 270 / AOC M2470SWD
Windows 7-64 / PD16 Ultimate

Playsound,

Thanks so much for the help on this one. I was able to remove the files and drop in the new ones with no problem. Just made sure I removed leaving gap, dropped in new file and trimmed to fit. Locked everything back up and away I go.

Again thanks.
