Audio out of sync with wave format on audio track

The following is for an audio file I am trying to put pictures in sync to.
I can see the wave format of the audio on the audio track, and I can see where there is a pause such as when someone is taking a breath. So there is a two second pause but I hear the person speak before it comes to the 'bump' in the wave format indicating that they actualy are supposed to speak at that moment.
I cannot correct this by editing the audio as it's not out of sync with anything but the audio.

I have all the latest patches.

Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like the wave does not match the audio.
A suggestion:
1 - In the timeline select the audio, click button, Edit Audio, AudioDirector or WaveEditor, make any edit close.
A new audio file will be created in PD16, which will correct the wave.

2 - Save the project, shut down PD16 back to the project, sometimes fix errors in the timeline. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3
SSD SUV400S37240G / 2-HD WD 1TB
AMD Radeon R9 270 / AOC M2470SWD
Windows 7-64 / PD16 Ultimate

Thank you. Your suggestiong worked.
I went into Audiodirector with the sound file and took 1/2 second of audio of off the end and when I exported it back into Cyberlink it was all fixed.
