I have 72 AVI video files of captured 8 mm films. The 8 mm films are video only (from the 1950s-1970s) and have no audio.

I am editing and producing 640 x 480 MP4 video files and want to eliminate the audio track to reduce the file size.

Is there any way to produce an MP4 with no audio?

So far, in the audio profiles setup, I have to pick an audio compression (AAC), Stereo audio channel (no other choice), and I pick the smallest 64 Kbps audio compression rate.

But I'd like to eliminate the audio track in its entirety if possible.

Thanks in advance,

You can produce an audio file with no video stream, but you cannot produce a video file with no audio stream (even if it's silent).
I think the best way to reduce silent film size is to tweak the production profile to an audio stream with a very low bitrate. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

Barry,

Thanks for the info. That's what I thought. Bummer. It would be nice to be able to produce a video-only file.
