Hi dear PD friends
just saw the last vid from "PD University" about "preferences" , Hardware Aceleration tab : "Enable Cuda accel ....".
And of course, I dont see that on my PC !! Just OpenGL Accel. that is checked.
I have a GTX960 so I should have it. My config (a bit old and was about yo move to a I7 8700k pack):
- I7 950, Gigabytes X58 UDR3, BIOS FB, GTX 960

Any Ideas ?
thanks a lot.
Bruno
BTW, love the PD16 release (moved from 14).

The GTX960 does not used the old cuda technology. You should display a screenshot from your own PD16 Preference screen, not that from Malieks’s pc. Yours should have open cl not cuda available.
You can prove this to yourself by removing that GT960 from your pc and use integrated graphics and see what you get in preferences. Send us a screenshot of that.

Since 2012, with the introduction of Kepler's specialized ASIC cores for decoding/encoding, there is no more CUDA decoding/encoding.
Also, besides nVidia, OpenCL is supported by AMD and intel GPU. So the effects that use the GPU for acceleration use that now, for a wider compatibility.
