Two dfferent things - Smart Sounds is part of Magic Music. If you press that, you will get to the Smart Sounds library.
The audio controls in PD16 have changed. Perhaps this video will help; there is more. I know, it drove me crazy to try to edit the audio without the information.

Did you have a Smartsound/Magic Music installation previous to your upgrade? Magic Music was last included as part of PowerDirector up until version 14. PD15 and 16 no longer include the module, though it can be installed. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

If you want to add Smartsound to your interface, simply download the compoments from their site. If you purchased any music previously (from SS) those files should be in your backups, however if you have an account with Smartsound they will have the records of your song lists and you can re-download from them. If you had no previous purchased songs then you lost nothing. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
