Can you see it on control panel default program settings?

Hi GaryShelton,

Another way to set PowerDVD 17 as default player:

  • Right click on a video file and choose properties

  • Under "General" you will find "Opens with":...."Change"

  • Click on change and select PowerDVD 17

Please let us know if any concerns.

I thought that was going to work for a while..but no joy.

After right clicking'open with I was able to eventually navigate to the .exe file. Now when I choose open with PDVD is finally a choice, so that's good. After opening the file PDVD prompted that it was not the default, I clicked set as default, this took me to the settings page once again and I thought it would now show.. no such luck, and just double clicking files open the stock viewer.

Thanks for your time
