Hello Roger,
Welcome to the PhotoDirector forum
PhD only accepts .MP3 & .WMA audio files, so if your music is in any other format it needs to be converted. Music purchased from the iTunes store would most likely be in AAC format with an .m4a extension.
Your iTunes software can create an MP3 version.
PhD happily accepts MP3s encoded with bitrates of 128, 192, 256, & 320 kb/s.

Thanks for the info. I'll use this info and experiment on getting this problem solved. Roger
Dear PIX: I manage to get some of my mp3s to work with PHD. I don't understand why a lot of them won't work. I've done dozens of slide shows using the Nero Deluxe 5 and the Roxio PhotoShow 6 version without any problems with the mp3s. I will keep working on this and hopefully things will get better. Also I don't know how to find out the bitrates on an MP3. I have a lot to learn about audio files.
With the PHD is it possible to have more than one music selection during a slideshow. I'm not able to use more than one song at the moment during a slide show. One more question: can other music selections be downloaded in order to have dozens of songs to work with from CyberLink web site for free or at an additional cost?
I want to thank you for the info and help that you've given to me so far. It has been helpful. "Thanks again".
