Really impressed with the speed of PD16
[Post New]
Something positive for a change I guess?

So I've been a PD user since version 10 and every year getting the new version

So far what stands out to me is the editing speed. With 14 and 15 PD would really slow down when I imported longer clips from my camera. So I got around that by filking shorter clips. But PD 16 is snappy when editing, even with clips longer than 10 minutes. No shadow files, nothing.

So whatever they did, it did the trick!

Thanks guys! Website

Like how high is up?.

W/O any idea what you are editing it is hard to judge. And your PC too. I assume HD since you are not using shadow files.

I still have PD14 but my WOW moment came app two yeras ago when I added a GTX960 GPU that works well with PD 14.

Rendering a 90 min 4K video to 4k HEVC went from app 3 DAYS to app 4 HOURS ! The CPU at that time was an Intel i7 960, it was doing the rendereing. After installing the GTX960 CPU usage went from 90+% to less than 10%.

Mostly 1080p30 or 1080p60 MOV files from my Nikon D3300, and also gameplay captures from various capture cards. The machine is a Core i7 3770, 16GB RAM, GeForce 710 and a SSD.

Do you burn any of your edits to DVD or BR?
