How do I create a title intro like the one in this YouTube video?

Hi topcat53 -

It's a little bit complicated but that can be achieved with masking each clip & title screen so that only 1/3 is visible. Have you had a play with Mask Designer?

The elements are:

  1. a title screen (graphic)

  2. three short video clips (about 2 secs)

  3. the main video

Your timeline would look something like:

When masking each of the clips & title screens, I used the standard rectangle mask & uncheck "Maintain Aspect Ratio".

That timeline, produced, looks like the video opening you linked:

Thank you, Tony. I'm going to have to watch some tutorials on Masking.

This is the answer to my question, but I can't figure it out just yet.

Hi again -

Here's a little packed project you can download & explore.

It shows the way the videos & titles in the opening sequence have been masked. Hopefully, it will help you with what you're trying to do.

Cheers - Tony

Tony, I worked on it today and was able to figure it out. The information that you provided with PDtoots was very useful. Thank you.
