How is it I've just bought DVD 16 only to see DVD 17 in this forum?
Did you get a discounted price for PowerDVD 16 because it is an older version? If you didn't, you have 30 days to return it and then buy the newer PowerDVD 17. If you did get the discount, is there really anyhting you need in PowerDVD to pay the extra money?
Where did you buy 16 -- from the Cyberlink site?
I bought it from the CyberLink site. I had version 10 of the program, which I hadn't used for a while, and when I opened it, it prompted me to update to V16 at a special price. There was no mention of V17. I discovered that only when I posted the other query.
Thanks for your help.
So you got the bargain upgrade to 16. Did you look to see if that price was available for 17? Contact Cyberlink sales to see what they will do in regards to returing 16 and getting 17 for the same price. I doubt it but you never can tell.
In certain cases, program updates are available based on the initial program. I don;t know but perhaps you could go from 10 to 16 with a discounet but not from 10 to 17 with that same discount.
Again - what is in 17 that you need? Since you haven't used 10 in awhile, perhpaps 16 will be good enough at that price.
Perhaps spending a little more time investigation your purchases would be of benefit. Again, contact Cyberlink Sales to get the definitive answer.
Good luck.
