Hello There,

Been using PowerDirector for about 4 years now. Currently have PD 14 version. Had old LCD 21'' monitor 1080P and decided to upgrade to a 4k Monitor (Samsung 28'')

What I noticed is that my powerdirector started lagging while editing in the timeline! When I presss "Space" to freeze the frame sometimes it stops with a small delay. When I try to split 2-3 files at the same time, there is a little delay in splitting as well. Sometimes when it jumps from one to another cut clip there is lag.

NOTE: I ve never had any problems with lags and stuttering with my old monitor! I do not have any problems with other apps and programs using my 4K monitor. The problems come up when I start editing videos in Power Director.

NOTE: If I reduce the monitor resolution from 4k to 1080p then problems stop!

Looks like PowerDirector cant work properly with 4k monitors? Tried the new version of the PD and had the same issue!

PLEASE HELP, Would be much appreciated!

Are you running at 60FPS ? I have the same card, use the HDMI output and no problem. Perhaps your pc uses the onboard GPU ?

Hello. I use 60 FPS files to edit and my timeline is set to 60 FPS. Seems like I managed to find a solution to the problem! CHECK IT

I clicked that option and powerdirector now runs in a lower resolution so I dont expirience lags anymore! I did it by accident ... Luckly enough it helped!

If anyone knows why it solved the problem you are welcome to answer because I have no clue
