Hi, I have a system of ryzen 1700x and gtx 1080. The ryzen cpu, dont even have a iGpu. And as I understand this player cant play HDR/ultra blue-ray even tough my hardware supports it; Hdmi 2.0 and hdcp 2.2? This player cant even play non HDR content without stuttering or loss of signal... Should make a big vignette in the sales site regarding HDR and that it need Intel kaby lake cpu. Saw they have a money back guarantee, how does this work? Im more then ready to go back to powerdvd16!

Could find the right tab after some searching.

at least 4k streaming is coming with the use of pascal gpus. Can stream Netflix 4k/HDR content and with the latest windows insider creators build now. Hope that build goes public fast.

Well, the UHD BD playback requirements are described clearly enough on the product page. You've been just lazy to read, I guess. The requirements were published for the first time on Jan 25th by Pioneer. However you are right, you can return PDVD if you do not like it.

Nowhere, this has nothing to do with PDVD. Nvidia released an exclusive Netflix-capable driver for their top GPUs. With this driver, the GPUs still can't playback UHD BDs. But it is a sign that another HDMI-HDR-HDCP compliant driver may be close...

Netflix 4K online video streaming is not equal to UHD-BD movie disc playback.
HDCP2.2 might be requried for both of them, but they are really different stories.

e.g. You may use a "web browser" to watch 4K protected video (Netflix) streaming.
But, you cannot use a web browser to play any commecrcial movie discs so far. The behavoir is different at the begining.

It's exciting and happy to know that NVIDIA provides 4K streaming supports on Netflix.
But, the movie "disc" playback demand for PC users is shading largely nowadays.

I know, but its progress! They share one trait, both can play HDR/Dolby vision content. Agree on the last part, but both hope and belive tthat its always gonna be a crowd demanding high fidelty sound and excellent picture. Hoping for UHD rentals or something similar in near future. But, the industry sure will not throw away the propritary stuff this century I think.

And who knows. Netflix is a big fish. THey lead the market and where they go others will follow. and maybe the movie industry after they find out they loose % to the streaming bis.
