MultiCam- Multi clips per cam?

I have 4 cameras of footage, all of which are broken into roughly 20 clips each.
When Audio Syncing, they tend to jump track and jumble.

One solution is to produce each of the camera’s multiple clips together into a single file.
My questions are:
-How far will the quality degrade? if so, what are the best settings/frame rates to maintain
the best resolution/HD quality?
-Is there a way to merge multiple clips together in a project?

Overall my plan is to create a 4-camera edit with Multicam Designer, and then utilize the original
footage again, to create Action Replays from the remaining angles in the main Power Director timeline.
For a total of two audio syncs (1 in Multicam Designer and 1 in the main window)

I decided to match the camera's settings in Mpeg-2.
the 2 gopros are @ 1280x720 30fps
1 canon HG10 is 1440x.. 1080? @ 29fps
Sony (something or another) is 1980x1020 @29 or 30fps.

I'll start the edits with 4 full (4.5) hour clips and edit from there. The quality seems to be comparable- The HG10's 1440x1080 is a little fuzzy because I accidently produced it with the 1980x1020 settings. Which is a 2.5hr rendering mistake- but i'll fix it.
