It really, really, really wants to support Dolby atmos decoding eh? Haswell 4770k watercooled @4.6 ghz. 16GB RAM,
Nvidia 980TI GTX, Marantz AV7702mk2, Apogee Duet, 3x Adam A77X, 4x Mackie MR5's, 4X Mackie CR4
Panasonic PT-AT6000e projector, 120" fixed projector screen, Panasonic ST30 50" TV.

Wonder what all the hubhub is about. Bought a LG16NS40 over 6 month ago, it will read my commercial UHD BD discs but of course cannot not decode the video. The PDVD 16 with upgrade or more likely PDVD 17 should do it with the correct GPU specs like GTX960.

I think/guess all GPUs released before 2017 won't have the possibility to play UHD BD. It has nothing to do with GPU capability but compatibility.

HEVC 10bit decode, HDR, and new UHD BD protection all matters.



Purchase a set top UHD BD TV player is always the easiest way to play back it.



Correct me if anything wrong.

I too think that a dedicated UHD BR player like my $220.00 Samsung 8500 is the way to go. I do not play commercial HD BR on my pc there is a $40 player for that. Why tie up the pc for that?



What I really like to do is burn my own UHD BR disc using the PD software and video from a AX100 UHD camera
