Very new to the editing of videos since purchasing a drone. The problem Im having with the current project is with audio being out of sync with its timeline once I add video. Remove video and it syncs back up with the timeline. Any help would be appreciated.

We need more detail.

Maybe post a screen shot that demonstrates your issue.

Sound can be synced with video on the timeline by sliding the audio track in relation to the video. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

I've not even got to the point of syncing the audio and video together. I can't even get the audio to sync with itself once the video is introduced. Lets assume the song is moving along the timeline at accurate timing. One I introdruce the video, the audio no longer travels along the timeline at the same speed. It becomes slower. The actual audio doesnt change though (speed up orslow down). Now, the music actually ends before it shows it should on the timeline. This renders the beat dection useless. because now they dont match the actual sound. Make since?

Is your music a MP3 audio file? If so convert it to a WAV. You can do that in Powerdirector by producing to a WAV, or you can use a file converter to convert to WAV. I prefer a file converter.

I would guess that the MP3 is a variable rate MP3.

This option box pops up as soon as I bring the video in. Which option should I choose?

I have tried both. It makes absuletly no since to me. The song I have is roughly 3 minutes. The video (which has no audio attached because it is drone footage) is roughly 30 seconds long. The red marker that moves along the timeline travels at a different speed once the video is introduced. Once the 30 second video ends, the marker speeds up to catch where it should be on the audio.

I may have figured it out. I enabled shadow files and now it appears to work.
