Hi,

I just recieved powerdirector13 for x-mas. I have been trying to import and trim a few short mp4 clips that I have taken with my phone. I have had success with a few of the clips but now it is just making the program hang so I have to force close it. This is now happening every time I try to use it so the program is basically unusable. The hanging has been happening when try to import a new video. There has been no error message just a spinning blue circle.

I am running win10

intel i7

16gb ram

intel hd graphics 620

250gb ssd

Thanks for any help in advance.

Ericl, welcome to the forum. Your dxdiag shows a few faults at the bottom, not all appear to be PD13-related. In addition, your graphics card is woefully underpowered, especially if you are using any HD files at all. Your card's benchmark

What is the EXACT version and build of PowerDirector you are using, and have you looked at any updates yet? Update page

You seem to be running a very old version of PD13. Go here and download the latest patch, it may help.http://www.cyberlink.com/support/powerdirector-ultra/patches_en_US.html

Not sure if your the update page was supposed to bring me to a place where I could update my current software or upgrade to a newer version.

If there are no letters after your version/build (such as DE) perhaps indicating you have an OEM version, there have been many update patches to v13, you only need to download and apply the latest patch. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)

Thanks for the help! The patch seemed to fix the problem. I find it strange that Cyberlink would not add the patch or have directions to install it when you install the program to begin with. Especially since I downloaded the digital copy of the software from their website.

Thanks again,

Eric

PD13 is not sold through cyberlink anymore. Not for the last 1 and a half years. That version build 13.0.2104.0 was created before windows 10 became available and compatibility is supplied later with a patch.

You claimed to have downloaded it from the cyberlink website as a Christmas gift. Maybe we should all get a gift too for helping. laughing

Am I missing something here? Where does Ericl suggest this is a downloaded version?

edit: I've seen where the reference was made. Ericl, are you sure it was a Cyberlink site you used? There are loads of different sites offering various builds of PD13 some showing the CL logo, but I can't find a cyberlink download for 13, any build, and this would explain why your program wasn't patched.

I'm running PL 3513 of PD13 and experiencing repeatable program crashes every time I'm in the Create Disk function and attempt to ADD one project to an exisiting project. I have recreated the primary and 2ndary projects multiple times. Each of them ON THEIR OWN loads fine as does the menu I've used for that project.

But open a NEW project, go to create menu and ADD projects and CRASHOLA.

I'm running Win7 with all the current updates.

Is this a known problem?

I'll happily upgrade to PD 15 if this was fixed. If not then I might as well quit while I'm ahead.

YOUR issue wstagner... might or might NOT be related to ericl's issue. Best to start your OWN thread on this wstagner.

Also then maybe provide some more details.. like a dxdiag, if you'e had it working before any updates to your computer.... etc...
