Hello everyone, first time posting on the CyberLink forums. Basically I finished editing a project of my a wedding and every time I open up the file document the timeline is all blank. Also the individual video files are not under the edit section.

I'm using PowerDirector 15 and I'm using Windows 10.

Many thanks,

Dear Colonel, welcome to our volunteer forum.

The most common trigger for all those black/empty spaces in your timeline is your media has been moved, or a folder/path renamed. Your project file PDS, if you opened it in Notepad (you can) you will see it is really just a set of instructions on what is occurring on your timelines, and directions to locate photos/videos/music files, FX, etc.
So...did you move/rename the location of your project assets, if you did, PD cannot find them.

Thank you very much for the reply. Aplogies for not being in depth with the issue. Basically I was on support with Microsoft because my desktop PC kept crashing during rendering on PowerDirector15. And when Windows 10 was reset, my local driver was changed from C to F. However I have tried to change the letter of my local drive but it wont let me.

In terms of opening hte PDR file in notepad, how do I see the instructions of the occuring timelines?

Many thanks.

Right-click the PDR project file and open it in Notepad, but you'll not find it easy or pleasant to go thru. I must say I do not understand how a C drive can become an F drive. Isnt it universal that the OS is on C? If you cannot return the drive to C, then I think you are screwed. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
