I am new to the forum and am looking for your expertise here. I have been recording video since vhs to 8mm tapes to now HD files. I now use a combination of GoPro to a Canon a6000 to my Moto X Pure. But that is irrelevant. The problem I have is that when I produce my videos, it seems that the same file, when produced as a stand alone .mt2s file (I have no desire to put the files onto a DVD/Blu Ray), appears to be clearer than an .mp4 file. Below is the same file produced in both formats (while the file is long, only the first ~5:45 has been edited, the rest is unedited raw footage):
.mp4 file: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaSO2FJJ_Y4
.mt2s file: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZQtZfEXWbc
Generally I notice that the old, .vob files (I took DVDs that were originally shot to VHS and 8mm cassettes and copied off the .VOB files).
I am using an i5, 8 GB Ram, 1T hard drive, PD version PowerDirector Ultimate 15.0.2026.0
Thanks,
Bob
